Training methods range from simple to complex. Basics techniques of standing, striking and kicking are further developed in a progression of standing hand sets and chi kung sets.
Self-defence knowledge is coded in forms practiced solo, and in application with a training partner. Fighting spirit is developed in solo combination drills, chi kung and shouting practice. Further partnered training develops sensitivity to respond appropriately.
Free sparring and various progressive sparring methods are to practice the 'formless form'. i.e. Using pre-agreed set techniques is not effective for self-defence; at that stage, as in normal everyday life, we must just respond to the situation.
